TWELVE CAR
A competitive event which is almost
classed a mini Road Rally. The length of the route is usually in
the region of 30 to 50 miles, usually taking
place on a weekday evening. Navigational skills of the crew are a
major factor in de termining the winner. Organised by Motor Clubs for
their own members, this type of event is ideal for the novice and
beginner to learn the ropes of Road Rallying. Marshals are placed a
various places along the route. The navigator plots on a map
navigational references which defines a route. The more carefully
the driver drives, the easier it is for the navigator to work out
the route. By following the correct route the crew arrive at the
control from the right direction, where the marshals signs the
competitors card and the crew head for the next time control. By a certain time crews must return to the finish
venue or last control.
Events are open to any Club
Members (no MSA licence required).
